As a Mom, I just could not have a personal page without
pictures of the children with animals. Most of the pictures
are of their 4-H projects and of the children just doing what
they enjoy.

My son has always wanted a coonhound. His dream was realized this
summer. This is his Redbone Coonhound, Gus. As a pup this summer
Gus was entered in a Dog Carriage Class, he slept through the
whole event.
Many times our lives are influenced by animals that we will
never forget. This next section is dedicated to the animals
of my past, animals that meant a great deal to me.
My first horse, his name was Skeeter.
He was a horse of great heart, I loved him dearly.
A Family of Good Dogs
I was once very fortunate to own a family of very wonderful
and dedicated Labrador Retrievers. I bought my first Labrador
before I was married. She was from a hunting line and I named
her Canard, French for duck. I bred her to a Field Trial dog
and she produced Danielle, of whom was then the mother of
Ruben. All of them were very talented and extremely intelligent.
Canard would retrieve anything I sent her after without ruffling
a feather, Danielle was an award winning Field Trial dog and
when Ruben came along I was a mother and did not have time
to train him for trails. He became our kids dog. They were
all good dogs. We loved them. This is why I feel like I must
include a small segment to pay tribute to a "family" of good
dogs.

Ruben's job was the most important of all.

Jim has alway had a soft spot in his heart for the big ones. This
is his former pair of Draft horses Dewey and Daisy. Big, beautiful,
Percheron Shire crosses.
Jim and Dewey. Dewey grew to the age of six and was quite tall.
This is my last section. It is dedicated
to both my mother and father. My father was much older then my mother
and served in W.W.I. They were both originally from Quebec, Canada.
They were good honest people of old traditions. Special people that
taught me a great deal about the values of life.

This is a photo of my father serving during W.W.I. He was in the
Mounted Marines, he is riding the large gray horse.
My father with his Uncle.
A photo of my mother and father. I guess you could say in the
courting buggy.
A "barnyard" would just not be complete without its ruler....the
rooster.

"No Wait!! You forgot to tell them....
Ya'll Come Back Now, Hear!!"
